5 GCSEs with Maths and English at Grade C/ Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths.

Good keyboarding skills are essential as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Achievement of an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting is advantageous but not essential.

All apprenticeship candidates will undertake a basic Initial Assessment and an interview during which suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined.

End Point Assessment Gateway

An Apprentice will be put forward for end-point assessment when it is felt that they have achieved the required experience in the work-place to put them in the best possible position to achieve success.

End Point Assessment

Assessment method 1: A synoptic end-test covering the knowledge and skills gained throughout the on-programme stage and detailed in the standard.

Assessment Method 2: A portfolio and reflective discussion which will comprise a range of evidence produced in the work-place to show that the Apprentice has met the knowledge, skills and behaviours detailed in the standard. The reflective discussion will be a structured interview to examine this evidence and the learner journey in more detail.

  • There is no cost to the apprentice.
  • If you are an employer with over 50 employees or, are employing an apprentice over the age of 19 (without a EHCP) you will be required to pay 5% contribution towards the cost of the apprenticeship Training.
  • If you are a levy paying company then you will pay for the training from your levy account.
