The System Scaffolding Product Training Scheme (SSPTS) is a two-day course designed to give experienced scaffolders the skills and confidence to safely use system scaffold products.

If you’ve only previously trained in tube and fittings, this course provides the structured training you need to understand and work with system scaffolds in line with manufacturer’s instructions. It recognises the key differences between the products covered by CISRS and ensures you can apply best practice on site.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to erect, alter and dismantle ATPAC system scaffolding safely and effectively, following industry standards and manufacturer guidance.

  • Health & Safety legislation

  • British & European Standards

  • Industry guidance and standards

  • Component range and systems of work

  • Bracing requirements, ties and stability

  • Loading and duties

  • Access towers – theory & practical

  • Independent tied scaffolds (returns and hop-ups) – theory & practical

  • Birdcage access scaffolds – theory & practical

  • Loading towers – theory & practical

  • Methods of access and egress (including stairways) – theory & practical

  • Written test and summary

  • A valid CISRS card

  • Completion of CISRS Part 1 training or

  • Renewal of a CISRS BASE Card

  • CISRS Completion Certificate

  • Endorsement of your current CISRS card with ATPAC training

  • Practical assessment – erecting, altering and dismantling system scaffolds

  • Written test
