Skills Bootcamps are practical and engaging short courses designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed by employers across the region, so that individuals can progress to make a positive impact on their chosen industry.
The training is intended for Scaffolders who have had a minimum of 12 months planned on-site experience as a Basic Scaffolder after successfully completing the Basic Part 2 Programme. It is also suitable for persons who have successfully achieved the S/NVQ level 2 in Accessing Operations and Rigging and working towards an S/NVQ level 3.
The training objectives are to ensure that at the end of the course delegates should have knowledge of:
· The correct and safe methods of erecting cantilever drop, two way shore, dead shore, staircase, ramp, tubular drop and temporary roof scaffolds in tube and fitting and proprietary systems where applicable.
· The regulations governing the safe erecting, inspection and dismantling of these scaffolds and the work methods to be adopted
· The procedures for producing, interpreting and using risk assessments and method statements

Advanced Scaffolding
Delegates will be able,as members of a team, to erect, alter and dismantle complex designed scaffold structures, safely and in their correct sequence and interpret design drawings.
The Bootcamps are partially funded, with employers contributing a small portion of the cost: 10% for smaller companies (under 250 employees) and 30% for larger organisations (over 250 employees), making it an accessible investment in workforce development.
