Recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
System commissioning and handover to client
Trainees should hold a formal craft qualification e.g. N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) and BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.
or
equivalent earlier certification that includes Inspection & Testing and current BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.
Trainees can also enrol for the course if they meet the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS).
Standalone technical certificates/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable.
BPEC accredited EESS
Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
