Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) course offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to meet the specific needs of experienced electricians, electrical technicians, and engineers. Participants will gain expertise in various aspects of EESS, including solar panels. Here’s a more detailed overview of the course content:

  • Photovoltaic panels in context of renewable technologies
  • How a Photovoltaic system works – principles and components
  • Design of a PV system
  • Installation of a PV system
  • Commissioning and Client Hand Over
  • Maintenance and Fault Finding
  • Control and power requirements
  • Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.

    Recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

Trainees should hold a formal craft qualification e.g. N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) and BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.

or

equivalent earlier certification that includes Inspection & Testing and current BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.

Trainees can also enrol for the course if they meet the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS).

Standalone technical certificates/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable.
