The NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Occupations (Construction) – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Plant Operator qualification/pathway has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means you must be employed to undertake this qualification.

This qualification/pathway enables you to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work in Specialist Concrete Occupations – In Situ Flooring (Concrete Plant Operator) within the construction industry.

On completion of the NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Occupations (Construction) – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Plant Operator qualification/pathway you will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrated competence to progress on to a higher level qualification in the same or similar occupational area. Further training and/or experience could enable entry into supervisory and management positions within the workplace. Industry will accept the qualification/pathway on its own as entry to a job role.

You will obtain a Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card on completion of this course.

Course Content

Qualification Structure: To achieve this qualification a minimum of 5 units needs to be attained. The learner must achieve 4 units from the Mandatory Group and a minimum of 1 unit from the Optional Group.

Mandatory Group: The learner must achieve 4 units in this group (credit value in brackets)

  • Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace (5)
  • Installing, Maintaining and Removing Work Area Protection and Safety Equipment in the Workplace (10)
  • Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace (3)
  • Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace (2).

Optional Group: The learner must achieve a minimum of 1 unit in this group (credit value in brackets).

  • Preparing and Operating Ride-on Topping Spreaders to Distribute Materials in the Workplace (30)
  • Preparing and Operating Ride-on Laser Screeders to Level Concrete in the Workplace (40).

There are no formal entry requirements to take this NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Occupations (Construction) – In Situ Flooring -Concrete Plant Operator qualification/pathway. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.

NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Occupations (Construction) – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Plant Operator

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area (Recommended Qualification Structure for Specialist Concrete Occupations
(Construction) Level 2).

You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete the qualification/pathway.

You will be required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit required within the qualification, as directed by your assessor. In order to achieve/pass this qualification/pathway, you must successfully complete/achieve all four (4) Mandatory units and one (1) Optional unit. This qualification is graded pass/fail.
