Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and Maths and have taken level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion of their Apprenticeship.
All apprenticeship candidates will undertake a basic Initial Assessment and an interview during which suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined.
On-programme (Typically 24 months)
Training to develop the occupation standard’s knowledge, skills and behaviours.
End Point Assessment Gateway
The employer and, if appropriate in conjunction with the Training Provider, will formally sign-off that the apprentice has met the minimum requirements in regards to knowledge, skills and behaviours within the standard and confirm they are ready to move on to the end assessment. This will happen during a meeting involving the apprentice, management and the trainer.
End Point Assessment (typically 3 months following gateway)
Assessment Method 1: Knowledge Test using scenarios and questions (30%)
Assessment Method 2: Structured competency based interview (20%)
Assessment Method 3: Assessment of portfolio of evidence (20%) Assessment Method 4: Assessment of the Work Based Project followed by a presentation on Work based Project – with Q&A session (20%)
Assessment Method 5: Professional discussion (10%)
Cost: There is no cost to the apprentice. (No VAT charged)
Duration: Typically 24 months plus EPA
